obama. i have been actually been thinking about it for awhile and i was leaning towards mccain and palin b/c i truly like those two, esp palin and her experience as mayor of alaska and the good she has done for that state. truly impressive. she might not be articulate or well schooled as other politicians but does that really matter when her ( Read more... )

I would say yes, it does matter. The Presidency is a very large role. It is composed of many important issues, especially foreign policy issues. Making decisions on certain policies and actions requires a great deal of knowledge. While I may not really like either Obama or McCain, I require my President to at least know something. When McCain brought Palin on his ticket, that gave me the impetus to vote and solidified my vote for Obama.

There are many better qualified candidates than Palin for VP, but she was selected for her political reasons: appeal to voters. She helped his image with the evangelicals and detract from the novelty of a black President.

oh and i went skating today for the first time since school started and let's just say i landed my double loop, salchow, and single axle.

When we're both back in the city together, you and I need to go ice skating. It would be good for me as I'd get some coaching from one of the awesomest Asians, and it would be good for you because you'll get to roll around on the ice laughing at how horrible I am :-)
