After a tedious 5 hour work day (tedious because anything less than 7 hours and I feel like I shouldn't bother) I spent a most joyous afternoon first with Randall and then with myself. We went to Chipotle for lunch and found this guy who was way too happy to be working there. Good conversation. Good burrito. We then went to Starbuck's at the mall. I feel like part of me died. I bought a Starbucks cd. I was compelled!! The cover looked punk, hence Randall and I picked it up to examine such a strange thing. This cd has The Smiths, The Cure, Bowie, Talking Heads, English Beat, Bauhaus, and The Jam to name a few. It's pretty awesome. I'm stil confused why Starbuck's was selling it.
Eventually, Randall had to head off toward work so I found a fairly undisturbed section of beach at Brackett's Landing and laid down on the sun warmed sand to read The Picture of Dorian Gray. Hearing the waves crash again the beach, smelling the salt air, and reading a great novel is quite the way to spend an evening. I picked up The Complete Works of Oscar Wilde last night and decided to start plowing through all 1206 pages. I've still got more than a little ways to go.
Dinner is now and comprised of orange bell peppers (so over looked, but in my opinion the best) and soy ginger dressing for the dipping. It's time for bed. I really didn't need that last Naughty Nellie to make me sleepy, but I was at The Cabin and couldn't resist.
