So today i moderated a panel at C2E2! Our topic was Exorcising the Specter of the Fake Geek Girl: Discussing Gatekeeping and Sexism in Geek Culture.
Our lovely panelists were a group of Chicago women who are active in geek culture, among other things.
The panel was a triumph! Here is the line of people waiting to get in:
The panel was standing room only. Security turned away more than half of the line. I couldn't believe it.

This is me, looking like i know what i'm talking about, because that's how a panel moderator rolls.
We were a hit. Once we stopped freaking out, we hit the convention floor for some nerdy fun. Here are two siblings dressed like Princess Mononoke and her wolf-brother:
This is when i met a Dalek, which i am totally not afraid of:
Then i made a new friend:
He looks so happy.
And finally, the Littlest Weeping Angel!
Now? Bedtime.
