MMORPG and me

It is soon to be the winter season and I feel like playing an electronic game.  I use to think why do I ever want to play a MMORPG.  Well most of the RPG gaming I would be interested in now is MMORPGs with an exception of Elderscrolls: Obilivion.

So I decided to try Dungeon & Dragons Online (DDO).  I did not even have to buy; there was the free 10 day trial period.  I downloaded and started to play a bit.  I do have to say it is nice to play a system where you know the basics...I play D&D thus playing the MMORPG is not too different.   I noted that there is not a crafting system and when you are about to enter a dungeon a pop up asks about the type of play you want...Solo, Easy, Medium, Hard.    The beginning has tutorials to help learn what keys to use.  It has been smooth so far, I will play more to test DDO out.

Then there is  World of Warcraft (WOW).  I know that WOW is releasing a new expansion in January.  The Burning Crusade looks like fun because of the new races, Blood Elves & Draenei…both I would play.  New cities like Silvermoon will be in the game.  The Socketed items are going to be nice.  Over all I think of playing WOW because I know some people that play and I also have known the Blizzard Universe since the beginnings.

Other reason to play a MMORPG is to have a bit of fun running around with my man.  He and I enjoy playing together in a game.  Now just to decide on which.
