The photoshoot yesterday was a blast. I didn't get done until late so once again this entry is like a day late.
The only problem is that these things tend to be an all day affair, even if they don't start until 7pm. That's why I don't book one every week. There is hair, makeup, costume prep and care among other things.
I've had good luck so far too. When it got to be time to shoot yesterday, it started to just downpour. I thought for sure Kii drove all the way in and would have to turn around. Fortunately it stopped just in time and we went out into the woods. Mosquito heaven. LOL They buzz around you in groups by the hundreds, it's creepy.
After shooting in the woods for a bit, we went to Coronation park with all the lovely manicured trees. It was really pretty out there with bridges and bubbling streams. When that was over, we went out to Coates' farm. Dogs, horses and cats were involved....ok well the horse was the only one who didn't totally volunteer. She came to the fence to visit and I had to bribe her to stay. The other animals however *insisted* on being in photos until we coaxed them to leave LOL (Orange cats rule!) These animals loved to gravitate to my costumes, especially since it was muddy and nasty after the rain. Go figure. The cat was the most funny, he came to visit and I petted him. I then walked away over to a fence and he followed. I leaned against the fence for photos and he frigging climbed it, claws scratching the wood and then rubbed against me for 2 minutes despite everyone trying to call him away. Kii got a really good one of me making a face at the cat while she climbed. (I sent it to a few of you) I love animals; so spontaneous even if they are hard to work with. I really want more with horses!
After the shoot we all had tea and Ikea cake. Yum! Kii gave me all the RAW photos O_o - 2.5GB worth to look at. I agreed not to post them without collaborating so that's why they aren't up here. Once we get the lot done I will share them. Let's just say that some of them are really awesome!
