OH MAN! I forgot I had one of these again... Just picked up Final Fantasy VI advance the other day and have been tuning out the 4 day weekend to it. AS to what I think of it... Except for a wierd glitch that when the battle theme music restarts after its 20 seconds track time there is a slight lag. Music loops fine, but the sequences on screen get paused briefly. Plus the fact that there is no turn skip command to switch between ready characters in combat. Also the game is in fact a port. Though it is played off as a remake. All they did was add the stupid ATB bar that shows when chars will get there turn though it still is basedly complete off of their agility stats, added two-tone colors to some chars on map and touched up the art for battle sequense backgrounds and buffed up the portrait art for chars in the menu which are now also displayed during the text dialogue, and add a 50 level extra dungeon for items you don't need, because for some reason though this game is based off the hard version of the original Japanese FFVI, its rediculously easy, its a great game. I guess cause its still at the great game that was FFII to us U.S. SNES players. For those that only played the FFII U.S. version, and never played Origins version. You'll notice the extra abilities that each char has in the combat system.
In the future Advance versions of FFV and VI are suppose to also be coming out. Hope they dont make the same challeng level mistake with those ports. Still no new word on FFIII DS though... sux
Also went and saw King Kong the other day which was an excellent flick, compared to all the crap that has been coming out for the last quarter of this year. Went to the San Diego zoo. Which was like any other zoo. Full of lazy looking animals still advertised as wild. Only thing I really noticed different was that fact that this zoo has a very, very large pig and gazelle population. Infact I think half the zoo was one specimen or other of the two.
As for today, just chilling out, Marinaded some steaks I bought on sale at the grocery store. Clipped up Frankies claws after he ripped my right-hand-pointing-finger open playing. Went got a Shelly a bagel and dropped it off at her work and now sitting here making this big long update cause I'm bored. Even with all the games, books, movies and chores have to do.
Other than that, I'm impatiently waiting for March, the supposed month that PS3 will finally be released and also when Metal Gear Solid 3: Substence will be out.
