Life Lived Sideways
Hello all.
I know I had promised to continue to progress with my reviews by the beginning of September at the latest. Well, here we are in October and I still have nothing. I owe a big apology, and I have no real excuse except the upheaval in Real Life that has kept me from having any real personal time at all.
This does not look to be settling any time soon, either. I'm not sure when I will be able to complete "Genesis", nor can I make any promises at this point other than the following: This project is something I had thought of doing for 2 years, and it is something I definitely intend to continue and eventually complete. I will continue once life has settled down a bit, I promise that.
As for my life, we are working on painting every last square inch of our home, as we are going to put it on the market for sale and will be buying a bigger home. A lot of the last 2 months were spent moving things into storage, general home repair, painting kitchen cabinets etc... all in my spare time, just after work and on weekends. We are still heavily in the process and will be continuing for a while to come. Wish us luck, especially in the current market. We don't mind taking a bit of a loss on the price of the place, and our area has only had a 3% slump compared to some, so we're lucky. And, we have a large amount of capitol for a downpayment on a new place, as well as a buyers market to work from, so we're not worried in that resect.
On top of that has been work, caring for a sick kitty (who died yesterday evening - I'll have a memorial post up after this), job-hunting (am in the middle of an interview process, which looks promising) and the usual general insanity that crops up here and there.
I'd like to thank everyone who reads for their patience. I will be back soon. And hello again to my new friends from Russia - I finally figured out what the language on your sites are and can now read them a bit with Babel Fish. ^_^ Please feel free to post here sometime, and I'll eventually come say hi at your pages, even though the translator I use will probably make my post read very funny.
