I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Upon the urging of one specific lady, I have reopened this LJ so as to keep a diary of my new weight loss venture.
I will also be using FitDay to track my specific inches and weight and such, but I will update this at least once a week.  I will be doing a weigh in and measure on Mondays only so as not to completely make myself crazy.

Starting Weight: 225
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145
Goal for next Monday: 222
BMI: 36.32 . . . that's right kids, that puts me in the "obese" range . . . lovely

This week's eating goals:
This week I will be cutting out all alcohol, soda (which is easy since I've developed a chemical sensitivy to it), and fast foods.  I will be eating probably hardboiled eggs and yogurt for breakfast, salad or salad-like things at lunch, and then whatever my mom cooks for dinner since she is psycho about whatever she cooks being healthy.  I will be going out and buying some healthy snack foods like nuts, fruits, etc, since I'm a bit of a snack whore.
In the future the diet restrictions will get a bit more difficult, but I know how easy it is for me to fall off the wagon, so I figured to start slow.  And the restrictions I have already put in place will be difficult as it is.

This week's exercise goals:
I will be putting air in my bike tires today, and will go for a short ride as I know even a mile at this point is going to kill me (which is pathetic).  I hope to be able to do that at least 3 times this week, and get in as much bike riding as I can before snow comes or before it just gets too freezing to ride.   I will also be forcing myself to walk the dogs once a day.  They will each get their own walk, so I'll be going on two walks a day.  For this week the walks will probably only equal a half mile.  Again, I'm taking the exercising slow because of my bad back and knees.  Man I'm old!!  In the past I have been too gung ho about exercise and ended up hurting myself and wasn't able to exercise, period.  Not this time!  I will also be adding in my weights and will be stretching every day.

I will also be trying to take pics every week so when I get closer to my goal I can do a weekly collage of the weight loss.  I will not be posting the pics, though, until the end when I'm hot and don't care that I posted pictures of my fat gut online ;)
