Been a rough week at the office, but now I think I'm over the hump. We had a hard drive on the church server start dying, so I had to put the crisis management team into action. That's me! I had a meeting with myself and we came up with PLAN A. PLAN A was to get new hard drives and duplicate the old, failing drive onto a new drive. Sounds simple enough. It never is! Turns out you have to buy $300 worth of software in order to clone a drive with a Server operating system on it. Uh oh... I need to quit talking computereese or I'll lose some people. The bottom line is that plan wasn't happening. So the team had another meeting and came up with PLAN C! Why C? Well, the team determined that PLAN B wasn't and efficient use of time and church resources since we planned to detonate the server using C4, which would mean acquiring explosives on the black market and all kinds of unpleasant things. Anyway, PLAN C worked out pretty good and we are up and running.
Looking forward to the Christmas break. I'm taking a vacation and driving up to North Carolina to see the In-Laws and hopefully some other friends. I love the mountains! Hopefully we'll get some snow!. My wife sure would love that!
