Red sky at night is a sailor’s delight. Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning. This rhyme reminds those who put out to sea that beautiful morning splendor can end in tragedy. All should heed this warning as many a sea farer has met his demise in the ravages of the storm.
Yet, somewhere on misty shores there was a presence far more sinister than anything nature could fashion; a true anti-nature, a melding of pure evil with a beautiful and vain royal. Sanguina the Vampyre bathed in the blood of legions. Legend has it that she did more damage to fleets than the enemy.
So was the fate of all young men who walked through the seaside trees and stumbled onto her vine covered house. Her door opened to a room kept in near twilight. A glass of wine waited beside her bed. She laid her lovers upon black silk sheets. Candle light shone across them, casting shadows upon the wall; mimicking the act of love.
If those walls could speak, they’d scream instead; voicing those sounds never made. In the heat of passion, when all control was lost; that is when she struck.
Night... after...night.
