Spears and Shields
Saw "300" last night with Jen, Sarah, and Catrina. Yeah, all girls. Jen and Sarah had already seen it, but Catrina and I (obviously), had not. AND OH MAN! It kicked ass. We all sat near the front and the entire time we kept laughing at inopportune moments and acted like boys. LOL Seriously. Every time someone was gouged or beheaded, we cheered. Not too loud, but loud enough for each other to hear one another. xD
Jen and I have decided that we might as well be boys because we like, scratch that, LOVE films like 300, The Departed, The Godfather, Sin City, Saw, Hostel and the like. We'd rather watch these films than chick flicks. And it doesn't hurt that in 300, the guys were barely clothed and attractive. Haha
After watching "300," I felt like running around in a red cape and kicking people from behind yelling, "This is SPARTA!" hahahahahaha :3
And I watched a Jeunet film this week, "Delicatessen." Farcical and amazing. LOVE Jeunet films (he did Amelie, A Very Long Engagement, City of Lost Children, and Alien: Resurrection). Then I made Jen, actually...she wanted to watch it, so we watched it. And she loved it, too. I've finally gotten Jen into foreign cinema. Muahahahaha! Taking over the world slowly. :)
That's about it. Today was productive (though I don't have classes on Fridays). Wrote my Mise-en-scene paper for 317. Finished my paper for German. Did my German homework. Started knitting Emily's hat. Productive, indeed.
OH MAN! Totally forgot to tell everyone. GUESS WHAT I'M DOING ON WEDNESDAY?!?!?!?! *drum roll*
I'm going to see "Grindhouse" a week and a half early, AND....Robert Rodriguez and Tarantino are going to be there presenting it. Muahahahahaha! Hooray for Austin Film Society. Jen and I skipped RTF 314 on Tuesday to go to Paramount Theatre to buy tickets. $23 for Balcony seats, but pfft. Rodriguez and Tarantino AND seeing "Grindhouse" before anyone else. It's the regional premiere. w00t! So yeah.
