Had afternoon tea with Cho Chang. That girl is simply delightful. She has wit beyond her years. I understand that she is having difficulties with some of her young men. I wanted to offer her a solid shoulder on which she could cry, but was afraid of the backlash that might provoke in the corridors. It seems as though gossip spreads like chicken pox around this place. I truly enjoy my time with Cho. I hope that she knows that I am here for her, regardless of the other scallywags nipping at her heels.
I attended the Gryffindor Quidditch practice this afternoon. I enjoy watching Harry take charge of his team. His flying skills have only improved with his age. He is so sure on that broomstick of his. I wish that he was that sure in his life. Anyway, Chaser Patil was hit by a Bludger that escaped the attention of Beaters Creevy and Weasley. The two of them were too busy watching each other. They were talking, I think, instead of minding their positions. It is obvious to me what is going on. I shudder to think of the outcome of tomorrow's match.
Professor Sinistra seems to be doing better. She was quite distraught over the death of her mother. I assisted, once again in the midnight Astronomy class. It was an odd one, overall. Draco Malfoy decided himself above attendance. Blaise, Neville and Pansy were acting very odd. It seems as though there was a mishap in Potions that left several students without their memories for the day. There was not so much snogging this week. I must say, it made for a very boring lesson, what with no skulking about in the shadows.
I've come to realize that Hogwarts is another type of prison. There is NOTHING to do here. Well, at least if you are a professor. I know the students find all types of entertainment. Remus and I are planning on spending the weekend holed up in his room. A good lie in is just what the good doctor ordered.
