La cigale et la fourmi

Jun 13, 2006 01:36

One of Alex' entries made me think of this poem of La Fontaine we all learn here in the first classes, La cigale et la fourmi. I've always been more of a "cigale", money interests me only if it's able to help me being happy and that means using it, not keeping it away.

I was trying to do my income tax this evening (yeah, French people out there, I know June 13th is the last day but I always work better at the last minute !) I had all prepared, not that I have much to type, but I was ready for it. Then the gouvernment's site just didn't want to give me the new certificate needed to access my file. After much cursing and ranting, I finally get the damn certificate, ready to go on. And then nothing. I've tried all evening long to get into the site, for nothing.

I was so enraged at some point that the only way to cool down a bit was to do something else entirely. So I went to search some pics I wanted to send to a friend (Candygram, scroll down a bit... ;D) and then without thinking about it I had Photoshop opened and I was doing wallpapers.

I'm pretty sure you don't know the girl on the first wall. She's a French actress it seems but I don't know who she is either, apart from her name, Mélanie Thierry ;) But I found recently two very pretty pics of her, with very different feelings to them, and it was a joy to play. Tell me if the way I put the pics together work for you or not. The second person is much more well known, one of the most beautiful women of the moment, Monica Bellucci. Once again, I had scanned some beautiful pics (if someone wants the original scans, you just have to ask) and wanted to play. Textures from Gloria and I think Lesley from Thal's group.

And the pics for Candy - I'll reply to your messages tomorrow if I can, it's going to be a long day at work. Not to mention that I'll have to try sending my income tax with the computer at work.
