Update

Summer doesn't seem so far today. Finally ! Last week was cold and rainy, 14° in the afternoon, and now they announce 31° for next week ! That's France for you ;) I never know what to wear when I dress in the morning.

I went to see Volver with a Spanish friend yesterday. Not the best movie Almodovar ever made but it was nice, great cast of almost only women - among which Penelope Cruz that I never really liked, you already know how annoying and dull I find her in Captain Corelli's Mandolin, but she was really good here - funny in spite of the themes and very Spanish in every aspects in my opinion. My friend's from Madrid and she kept on telling me when she recognized some of the places shown, what was tipically Spanish and what she found strange.

My mother went cruising (?) last week, six days on the Danube. She was quite tired afterwards but she really enjoyed it. I'm glad she went, she never did that kind of trip when my father was alive. She visited Vienna, Budapest and other places, went to a concert of Viennese waltz (?), a kind of music she has always loved... and it seems the food on the boat was quite good ;) The pics she showed me makes me want to see Vienna particularly.

I'm taking a break at work, the phone is constantly ringing, we have to run and do too many things at the same time and it will be like this at least till June 22nd. Hopefully things will get easier after the big conference we're organizing for that day - for those who don't know yet, I work for a service that takes care of mentally disabled people, their housing and daily activities. There's been a lot of new (stupid) laws recently and it's never easy to adapt, especially when we get less and less money to do always more...

I only have some "old" wallpapers to show, once again from some French stuff. In the 70s, there was a very famous TV series called Les Brigades du Tigre, inspired from the true story of the first police brigades to use cars and other new technologies at the beginning of the 20th century. The "Tiger" was Clemenceau, the interior minister I think, who created those Brigades. A movie was made recently, with new actors of course, and for once this remake was quite good if not perfect. It helps that I like a lot some of the main actors. Clovis Cornillac was the commissaire Valentin (first wallpaper), Edouard Baer his colleague and friend the inspecteur Pujol (second wallpaper) and Jacques Gamblin the infamous Bonnot (last wallpaper) who was a real-life gangster, probably a lot less romantic that the film made him. Because the movie deals with other real-life facts, like the scandal of the Russian loans where many French people lost definitely all the money they had saved.

Oops, I forgot to send this finally. A very, very cute, cool and charming guy just came in my office, looking for informations, and it's good I was finished with my update, words now fail me... I think I still have a dreamy, stupid smile on my face ;D I hope I wasn't too obvious stripping him with my eyes...
