Dracula
(Castlevania series)
Dracula was one of the old-school 8-bit Nintendo bosses, and in my opinion one of the few that's retained his sense of presence ever since. I'd imagine the public domain aspect of the character design helps, as well as the fact that the cheese bar is set so very high thanks to Lugosi's B/W Dracula renditions. Castlevania's Dracula, leaning into his chair with glass in hand, is just one of those iconic last boss sequences that really stuck with me.
Plus, it's Wakamoto fucking Norio pretty much showing off why he gets all the Big Bad Evil Guy money these days. I've paid money to listen to him count sheep.
