Silent Auction Fundraiser
Hello everyone! I first would like to welcome all the new people who just came in. I'm Amy, and I play Raul Creed, Dr. Kenzo Tenma, Tim Drake, Snow White, and Death. Welcome! We're all really glad to have you in SP.
What I want to talk about is a big event that we have planned, getting ready for on January 13th! Raul Creed made a network post about this event. The NPP is going to throw a Silent Auction to help raise money for the NPP and it's subsequent proactive dealings that it has around the city. The money will be used to help out their projects, such as helping out people in the poor sectors, helping Newcomers with their businesses and protection from the Darkness (Darkness proofing), and other such things like cleaning up the Starter Apartments.
This fundraiser will also have a party after the auction at the Newcomer Community Center. Everyone will be invited to the auction and the party! We want every Newcomer to come and bid, and it doesn't matter if you're poor or rich, it all goes to help a good cause.
What we need from all the Newcomers are things to auction off! Everyone can donate a few things (the maximum amount of objects and services will be two from each character) we'll take everything, as many things as you would like to donate, and everyone can either donate an item, or donate a service. Items would be like gift certificates, a bottle of wine, collectables, any item you can think of, and services would be like free accounting services, a night of cooking dinner, or cleaning someone's apartment. These are all just examples, your character can donate whatever they want to, or whatever they think someone will bid on! HERE are some auction ideas!
As of right now, we're also looking for different Newcomer businesses to donate gift baskets of some kind, or gift certificates for goods. We are also limiting how many people can offer up a "date" as their service, so please, try to come up with something different that we can offer!
Now, I know we have a lot of new people as well, so even if your character hasn't been in the city that long, they can still bid and donate! So please, everything helps!
