With this post the EMP event has officially started. As noted in the newsfeed this morning, the pulse itself occurs at 6.35pm and will cross the entire city within two seconds. A number of things will happen simultaneously and instantly:

- All lights in the city will turn off.
- The sirens will NOT sound at all.
- Car and burglar alarms, motion

You know the drill! Any ideas you can't use? Looking for people to plot something in particular with? Look no further!

Let's see- if the power cuts out in the homes, they might not come back immediately because of a blown fuse or the fuse box tripping out, so the Darkness will remain and be even scarier. This works for people who have their own apartments! Logging with their flatmates/roommates.

Helpful people can save those who are lulled by the lack of sirens and trapped outside during the Darkness, especially around Sectors 9 and 10.

Being one of those trapped outside, or even trapped inside a restaurant or club or somewhere indoors, and being unable to get out because the Darkness has crept in before you start leaving.

Axel could help with fire. not setting them, for the record, but as he can manipulate it he could probably be arsed to let a few people get out of any burning buildings. you know, if they ask nicely~

Cars should still be working if you can trip the electrics, or if they were running before the EMP. Diesel engines and steam power are just fine, since they aren't reliant on electricity. People with cars could be useful out in the Darkness getting people home.

:U Violet Systems specific, but it can be applied to anyone who owns a cyborg/machine for darkness-proofing at home.

Some major establishments are guarded by the Darkproof Dogs, VS's line of darkness defense cyborgs. So when the EMP happens, darkness proofing in those places can be a lot weaker (eg. Lion's Gate, if I remember, has a pack of roving Darkproof Dogs)

At the same time, they leave establishments more susceptible to looters, so yeeeep. Some villany types can go and loot whatever upscale shop decided to replace an entire security force with cyborgs.

In the meantime, Lee Chaolan (president of Violet Systems) will go nuts with everything. Maybe I'll have something blow up in his face.
