July 1, 2010 dawned bright and early with the morning sirens going off at a brilliantly early 5:00 am. As the City woke, many people were working hard to put the final touches on a parade, citizens were setting up street booths with services, items, and other wares to share with fellow citizens. In another part of Sector 4, there was a construction crew hard at work building sandbag walls and erecting netting over a secure area that could hold hundreds, in two sections, to allow the citizens a nice outdoors event at night without casualties.
All in all, the day started early and beautiful, and the weather was forecasted for blue skies, bright sun, a light breeze, and a clear night.
Perfect.
