In the Aftermath...
Who: OPEN to anyone with injuries, or draggin' in hurt NPCs
When: Post-Earthquake, June 8th-9th (Timestamp Threads for approx. hour!)
Where: Sky Medical Center ER/Clinic, Sector 4
Summary: After a disaster, it's always a long, long night of overtime ahead for the hospital with an open-door policy.
Warnings: Possibly some nasty descriptions of radiation burns/other injuries.
Dr. Daedalus has been paged in early, soon after the ground stopped shaking. He wasn't due in till after siren at nine, but the call had sounded desperate, and it wasn't until he arrived at the clinic that he realized quite the scope of this disaster.
He'd only felt tremors like that twice before- once when the Rapture went up, just outside of Romdeau, and once when to dome itself came down.
By the time he arrived, the waiting room was madness- mostly agricultural workers from Sector 7 with half their faces seared and flaking, some people who had veered off the road or had a chandelier come down on their heads. Phase one was not so bad, not until some of the more severe cases were sent upstairs to inpatient care...and they just kept coming in.
After the siren, when word came flooding in that monsters were attacking residences- that there were people being torn apart in their homes, people flooding in past the doors just to get inside for Skye's well-proofed and protected shelter, when a passing harried nurse murmured something about hoping there would be enough in blood bank...that's when the young doctor realized he was in for the longest, most grueling night of his life.
