Summary: Friday's Commoner-Style Dollar Savers Lucky Pot Beach Party requires supplies--and where better to try and find dollar saver supplies than at a DOLLAR STORE!
Warnings: sparkles and excitement and Kyouya might step on Tamaki's head.
(
Yeah, Kyouya, the Dollar Store! It's a land of sweets and joy...and joyness! )
Their destination. Tamaki stopped dead within about ten feet of the doors, staring at them in complete reverential awe. The Dollar Store. A thing of legend at this point--at least, in Tamaki's mind. A land flowing with cheap good and discount foods and beverages. He whirled around and seized onto Kyouya's shoulders instead, pulling him close, nose-to-nose.
"We've arrived," he conveyed in his best Secretive Voice. Very hush hush, this anticipation business. "Do you have the money prepared? Do you have your will prepared? We must be strong, Kyouya, and not spend more than our allotted budget!"
A pause and he drew back, furrowing his brow slightly and subsequently relaxing his grip on his best friend. "Er--what is our budget? Ah, and did you make a list of things that we need?"

"I do not believe that a will will be necessary for this particular venture, Tamaki." And even if it was, he wanted to note that he had little in the way of any sort of assets to speak of. While he had at least one good lead on a moderately profitable job, in commoner's terms he was... well... broke.
Still, he had estimated that their combined funds would allow for purchases that were more than within their budget.
Particularly at a store with the... "quality" that this one appeared to have.
"We are to spend no more than sixty-five dollars total." Kyouya said as he reached into his back pocket for a neatly folded note, "and I am only permitting you to take no more than three extra items that are not on this list."
Yes, with the right mind, they could very well make it out of this alive and with their dignity intact.

But, anyways!
"Sixty-five dollars," Tamaki repeated, a little awed by the figure. It was so low! So common! Budgets were amazing little things--the true stuff of commoner life! Just the thought of commoners, headed off to the store with lists and budgets clutched in their hands was enough to make Tamaki smile. And now he was living it! Really living it! He seized the list from Kyouya and shook it open, scanning the contents quickly.
"RIGHT!" He clenched his fist around the list before he'd even finished perusing it, and, seizing onto Kyouya's arm again, dragged him towards the doors. "ONWARDS, KYOUYA, TO--THE DOLLAR STORE!"
The doors slid open before them. Artificially cooled air swept out. The scent of cheap plastic was high, but Tamaki strode bravely forward, his best friend in hand.
Inside, the stores were littered with commoner goods. Tamaki stopped dead for the second time, his heart fluttering.
"Kyouya," he instructed, flinging out one arm to point towards the stack of hand baskets beside the door. "Get one of those. Quickly!" And, breaking into a sprint, he headed straight for one of the shelves. Little tiny glasses in the shape of sandals! How charming! Ah, and here were glasses shaped like palm trees--in Canada! And here were glasses that said "WELCOME TO SIREN'S PORT" on them--oh, they were so cheap, they would probably break as soon as you poured a drink in them! Ecstatic, Tamaki gathered them all up in his arms and hugged them to his chest. This was the best trip ever!
