Summary: Friday's Commoner-Style Dollar Savers Lucky Pot Beach Party requires supplies--and where better to try and find dollar saver supplies than at a DOLLAR STORE!
Warnings: sparkles and excitement and Kyouya might step on Tamaki's head.
This was already the best trip ever. THE BEST. Tamaki had thought that he had been on good and interesting trips before, but they were nothing--nothing!--when compared with the wonder of this particular journey.
First of all, Kyouya was with him. It was just like old times: two brave friends, armed with nothing more than their wits, off to see the world! Well, the world of Siren's Port--which was no less exciting! If anything, the smallness of the immediate world made the trip even better! Tamaki knew all the ins and outs of the city by this point. He had to know, after all, in order to write a complete and accurate account of all of the beautiful and lovely things that were in the city. So he had done his research well. No stone had been left unturned, no building unexplored, no shop door left unopen, no well left without at least one coin tossed into it for good luck!
But this was different! This was no research trip! This was an actual trip with his very best friend, Kyouya! That made everything better!
If Tamaki could have slowed down his excited thoughts for thirty seconds, he could have communicated just how happy he was that Kyouya was here, in the city. While Siren's Port had its dangers--and he was concerned for everyone here, beneath his usual cheer--it was still great to have Kyouya back where he belonged: by Tamaki's side! They were, after all, best friends, and best friends were always together, challenging fate and the elements, taking whatever life threw at them, through thick and thin!
And this journey was made even better by the very fact of their destination. A DOLLAR STORE. Tamaki had never been to a dollar store before, but the very concept was fascinating. A store where everything cost only a single dollar! Food, and dishes, and decorations, and toys, and greeting cards--and all of it no more than a dollar! The thriftiness, the nerve, the corners that must have been cut to achieve such cheapness--it was all so fascinating! He couldn't wait to see it for himself--and to purchase some of these goods for this all-important party that he was hosting tomorrow.
And it was important! The people of this city deserved some cheer! The people of this city deserved a meal served out of a lucky pot! The people of this city deserved entertainment, and a distraction from their daily lives! It was like a Host Club event all over again.
Well, a Host Club event with half of the club missing...
Tamaki shook his head impatiently. He wouldn't think of such thoughts right now. Instead, he seized onto Kyouya's arm and resumed dragging him down the street. Ahead of them, the neon glow of the dollar store's sign brightened their path, a gleaming mecca in the distance.
"This is so exciting!" he gushed to his best friend. His grip on Kyouya's arm was sure, but he was practically shaking with excitement. "This is so exciting! We are going to a real commoner's dollar store, Kyouya! Ah, we have to purchase some of those disgusting chips you were talking about! I want to sample those and have a real taste of commoner's delights! Oh, and we should see what other food is available for purchase, perhaps we can 'cut corners' that way, as the saying goes!"
Tamaki and Kyouya, on their way to a Commoner's Dollar Store! Could this day get any better?
