[inside said apart is a very displeased wolf. He's only been home for an hour, having spent the morning facing down a psychotic clown and said psychotic clown's car. He was hit by it twice, finally managing to shred the tires with some quickly-grown claws on the second hit.

But even with healing powers, that shit still hurt. It also completely ruined his clothing, which was just an unnecessary pain in the ass. Fucking clowns.

So he's stewing inside on his couch nursing a bottle of whiskey when Khisanth knocks, wearing pajama bottoms. (His torn, bloodied clothing from earlier is occupying the waste basket under his desk.)

The moment he smells who's outside, he growls. Oh hell no.]

Go home! [yelled at the closed door, not bothering to get up.] It's too damn cold to arrest you.

[ He knows it's her, without her even saying a word? Well, that's pretty impressive. Of coures, the 'go away' barely even registers. It's unimportant. She smiles to herself, leaning casually against the doorframe, and casts a quick spell. Nothing major, just something to throw her voice into the room behind the door. There's no use in shouting to make herself heard if she doesn't have to. ]

That's not very sporting of you. Isn't your sort not supposed to let anything deter them from the pursuit of justice?

[ It'll sound just a few feet away, maybe even from over his shoulder, low and calm as if she were standing there. ]

[it was security cameras, Khisanth. Security cameras, surely.

Even knowing he still smells her outside, not in his room, Bigby still looks up and around when he hears her voice so close. ...So, she's able to teleport other things besides her body. Fantastic. He scowls around his cigarette and rubs his eyes.]

We make special exceptions for blizzards. It's in the handbook. What do you want?

I'd like to be let in. I thought that was rather self-evident from the knock.

[ ...And, while of course she'd noticed the temperature before, she'd never really gone and stood still in the chill. It's past just cold, and gone into slightly miserable, when one isn't doing any moving. She hunches just a little more into her (stolen, naturally) coat. ]

It's awfully cold out here, after all.

Maybe you should have thought about that before trudging through a blizzard to a detective's house. - A surly detective, let me add. Not the smartest of choices.

[ There's just a sigh to that. Really, why do people have to be so difficult? ]

Would you prefer I show myself in, then? Either way is fine by me.

Not a smart choice either.

[but he rubs at his eyes, finally turning off the TV set] Is there a way I can just persuade you to go home without having to throw you out? What do you want? Really want?

There really isn't. [ She sounds almost bored, which she figures is better than sounding cold. ] Open your door and I'll tell you. Fair trade, hmm?

[Bigby's of half a mind to make her teleport her way in. Why should he have to cross the whole living room and open the door for someone he doesn't want to entertain when they could just as easily magic their way in and save him the trouble.]

Give me a reason to throw you out and I will. Give me more than one reason and it'll be in pieces. [but he lumbers up and opens the door all the same]

[ The first thing she does when the door opens is sweep a casual glance around the interior. There. Now she can picture it, and she really will be able to teleport in anytime she wants. Without the ever-crucial glance inside, teleporting wouldn't be much good. But she's got it now, and that could be useful.

Next up is inviting herself inside. She does, promptly loosening her scarf and beginnning to undo the buttons of her jacket with a wide and much-pleased smile. ]

Oh, that's much better. Thank you, officer. [ just a tiny bit of sarcastic emphasis there. ]

[Bigby watches her enter flatly, not even bothering to grab a shirt or robe to look more presentable. She's the one who interrupted him and insisted on barging in, so she can deal with it.

Although for how long is still a matter up for debate, as far as he's concerned.] You were going to tell me why you're here.

hey how would you feel about moving this log over to DW! fantasycliche January 30 2012, 02:54:46 UTC
I was, you're right.

[ The heavy coat is off and promptly draped over the back of a chair, free to drip as much as it wants to onto the floor, and she glances around thoughtfully. It's not a bad place to wait out a snowstorm.

Absently: ] I needed something to do tonight.
