[ yuakri was on her way back to her apartment-quite literally in the hallway, standing in front of the door that would lead to her little corner of the port-when the first explosion hit. she was shaken but just out of danger, watching in horror as events unfolded. it's a surreal turn of events; yukari almost can't process it, but she knows better than to just stand there and be a spectator.

she has the ability to help those who may be injured, so she has to do something. after dropping off the bags she'd been carrying from her errand, yukari nabs the more important things (her evoker, strapped into the holster on her thigh, her quiver of arrows and her bow-it's getting a little late, and it's better safe than sorry in this place) and heads over to the second tower to help out. ]

( ooc | feel free to have your character run into yukari either after sirens or a few minutes after the blast, if you'd to have your character quickly mended! she has wind and healing spells, so have at! \o/ )

[ For some reason Yukari is kind of high up into the second tower. Maybe it was someone screaming that brought her out? Well whatever the reason it sucks up on this floor. Pretty high up too, but not like the very top floor. Seriously who would actually want to live that high up when the elevators don't work? (coughtraviscough)

Well regardless the darkness is rotting away at the place. Suddenly from nigh up above the ceiling gives in and a man comes down with it, plaster and all. Unfortunately he also tumbles and rolls into Yukari's legs on his way to a solid stop. Sorry Yuka-tan. ]

[ she's been working on getting people out of the building as quickly as she could, secure in the knowledge that she'd definitely be able to get herself out when things got bad (ahaha, sure okay). either way, she's carefully made her way up into the higher areas of the tower to make sure that everyone's out, and it's actually when she's on her way back down-because lord knows she only wants to be on this floor for two minutes, tops&mdahs;that travis drops in on her.

taking a hard tumble backwards, yukari quickly yanks her skirt down to cover the important parts before turning her attention to travis, growling angrily. ]

What the h-?!

[ cutting herself off and trying her best not to flush angrily, yukari steps around travis's crumpled form so that she's at his back and nudges him with her foot. ]

Hey you, get up!

[ Sorry Yuka-tan, but as much as you want some lecherous dude who's into magical girls staring up your skirt now's just not the time! Standards must be maintained of course as Yukari nudges the back of Travis with her foot suddenly the dude just springs to life quite literally with a capoeira-inspired spin kick, propelling him off his back and onto his feet again.

Also almost slamming into Yukari in the process.

Travis is staring up the hole, back turned to her. ]

You little dipshit! When I get back up there I'm gonna kick your ass!

[ she quickly backtracks when travis gets to his feet, her eyes wide in surprise. thankfully she was able to move fast enough to avoid getting knocked on her side by that flying crane kick, otherwise she would've had more than just a few strong words to say to him. ]

[ and her expression goes deadpan. after rolling her eyes, she pipes up loud enough to be heard over the commotion that surrounds them. ]

... Yeah, I think you're fine.

[ turning on her foot and starting to walk away! ]

Hey. Hold on a sec.

[ Hasn't your mother ever told you Travis to look but don't touch?

Right she didn't. ]

[ Welp that's not stopping Travis from grabbing Yukari's arm. ]

You need rescuing, right?

[ a beat ]

[ yes he seems to be serious... never mind the bow in her hands with the quiver of arrows, plus the gun strapped to her thigh... ]

Because I got bitched out by some chick downstairs about not rescuing people. Come on.

now if only he could figure out how to put the newspaper *down*

[ the worse news is the fact that it takes yukari a little too long to make her way up there, darting back and forth between apartments to make sure people are out. rounding up on the fifth floor, she spots jake; her eyes go a little wide as recognition sinks in. didn't she see this kid the first day she was here?? she can worry about his awful luck later: yukari wastes no problem bolting forward and kneeling down at his side, gingerly brushing his hair away from his forehead to survey the damage. ]

Hey. [ gently tapping at his cheek to try and wake him up. ] Hey, you. Can you hear me?

[ now this is definitely worrisome, and yukari doesn't have time to wonder where his friends are or who she can contact and of course she feels bad for this kid, all knocked out and bleeding. with no one else around, yukari has to take it upon herself to help him out, so kneeling down, she wraps one arm around his waist and drapes his about her shoulders before

awkwardly lifting him to his feet.

hey, she's going to help him but it's not like she can carry him. she will, however, kind of drag him out. ]
