[Open Event] NPP Silent Auction at the Newcomer Community Center
Who: The Newcomer Political Party and The Newcomers!
When: January 13th, 2:00 PM
Where: The Newcomer Community Center
Summary: Time for the Silent Auction! Everyone come bid!

It's a beautiful day, even though it is Friday the 13th. The Newcomer Community Center is set up for this Silent Auction, something to help promote the Newcomer Political Party, and Newcomer affairs.
Raul Creed is in charge of this auction, and he is standing up on the stage right at the podium, the room filled with tables and chairs. The tables are large, all set up with items on them; mostly gift certificates, but a lot of items, such as jewelry, cameras, designer clothes, and bottles of wine. Everything is clearly labeled, with the starting price on a card next to the item or service. Everyone had a chance beforehand to check everything out, and to decide what they might want to bid on.
Small placards on a stick have also been handed out. There's a number on each placard, written there by the person who is bidding.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the first annual NPP Silent Auction. My name is Raul Creed, and I will be hosting tonight's auction. Please remember that this is a silent auction, and to place a bid on any item, all you need to do is raise your sign. We have many items and services donated by different Newcomers that live here in the port, and we hope that everyone bids on as many items as they may like. Remember, all of the money from this auction will be going to charity, as well as the political party, so that we can better service the community.
With that in mind, let's start this auction."

ALSO! Please put your bids in subject lines, so people can see! Threads tend to collapse after about 50 comments, so it may be a bit easier to see bids that way, especially with LJ the way it is right now!
