Summary: Celebrating the holidays as kids usually do: stories, games, food, presents and happy.

Christmas Day - Early

[Opening presents, eating breakfast, and getting ready for the day!]

[She's probably a bit early to get up; nerves working overtime from all the festivities from last night. Still, she is excited as she creeps around the sleeping bags and others to take a peek at the tree and all the presents.

It's strange. Namine didn't think she'd ever be able to make it to Christmas or even have the right to celebrate it. But as she stares at the tree they decorated last night, she doesn't really care that much, so long as the rest of them are happy.]

[She woke up the earliest, already balancing mugs on a tray to pour hot chocolate in. Her nightwear is covered by a ridiculous Christmas sweater, and her hair is swept up in a bun. When she sees Namine, she hesitates, before grinning and making her way over to her Nobody. The past shadow event might have put a lot of questions in her head, but Kairi reckons that's not a reason for her to ruin the holidays.

She nudges the blonde girl with a hand, offering a steaming mug of the chocolate concoction with the other.]

Morning. Eager to unwrap presents?

[linkings]

[The little nudge jolted Naminé's awareness, and she blinks owlishly at Kairi before even noticing the mug. She looks a little embarrassed being caught staring at the tree, staring into hot chocolate.

...Even if she is just a tiny bit curious to see what these presents are.]

N-no! I just... ah, just got up early. That's all. I didn't want to disturb anyone.

Hey, you're free to open your presents. After all you got up first.

[Kairi cradles her own mug before sitting down on the floor and starting to sort out presents.]

Once everyone else's wakes up, it's going to be a mad scramble for gifts.

[Her eyes flicker over to the tree and presents and watching her Somebody settle down, looking shy over her mug's rim while taking a sip.]

...I wouldn't know where to start.

You can start with mine.

[Kairi grins and pulls the wrapped present, handing it over to her Nobody. She's a little nervous to what she might think of it, but sort of excited as well.]

Merry Christmas, Namine.

[Blinking yet again. She is surprised. After the whole fiasco with her Shadow, Namine really didn't think that she was worthy of getting anything from her.

Gulping, she sits down on the floor beside Kairi, her fingers shaking just a little bit as she took the gift.]

Thank you, Kairi. [And she sets it to the side. Not to be disrespectful of the other girl, but it felt right to give her Somebody her gift too.]

Here. [She passes a small box to the other girl, feeling just as nervous.] ...This one is for you.

Oh, wow. You got me one too?

[Kairi smiles sheepishly as she takes it, setting it on her lap. And without another word, she flings her arms around her Nobody and her friend, because she would rather think of her as the latter than someone who was created to be her shadow.]

I-I did.

[Her voice squeaks, pretty stunned by the sudden hug. So much so she had to brace herself with an arm so that she doesn't fall over and take Kairi with her. It's a moment, but eventually Namine snakes her own arm around her to return the hug.]

Y-you're welcome, Kairi. Thank you too.

[Mmm, presents. Mmm, breakfast. Roxas makes the executive decision to get started on the food first. Scrambled eggs and cream horns are key, but he's the expert coffeemaker of the group, so he begins making a tasty brew.]

[Roxas might just hear the sound of bare feet padding across the floor at speed before he's hugged from behind.]

[OOF. He's laughing as he tries to twist around.]

[She lets go of his waist a little to give him room, laughing as he tries to turn.]

Did you see? Santa came!

[Xion's smile, her excitement-it's all the same as last year. In a way, it's nice to get to see her experience Christmas for the first time twice.]

Yeah, he did. How much coal do you think you got?
