[After the chaos and the pain of the last few weeks, the city seemed oddly silent under a blanket of snow. Peaceful, even. There was something cozy, cliche as it was, about this day. Diego had always liked Christmas Eve better than the main event for some reason. Maybe it was that coziness, the anticipation still there to be enjoyed.
It made him glad he was going to meet with her. He didn't want his usual loneliness to poison this night for his roommates or anyone else-- particularly himself.
He was about fifteen minutes late meeting her, though he hadn't said why. In a red dress shirt with a black suit jacket, he brought her a rose along with her Christmas present, and they'd actually manage to keep to pleasant conversation, for once.]
