Franziska von Karma was someone Re-l respected, but was ultimately not someone she often spoke to. They were both busy; they had jobs and people to see, things to do, and they both weren't the type to stop for idle chit-chat. The time could be spent doing other, more important things. But after the week Re-l had, slogging through businesses and clubs in AGI to investigate Jack Kelly's , she'd just like to sit back and enjoy some time off. With Edgeworth gone, she doesn't know where Franziska has strayed in terms of the law. Will she continue to be a teacher or will she come back to the court room?
Edgeworth had asked in his letter for her to make sure Franziska did not get herself into trouble. But she wasn't close to the woman, nor was she the type to actively try and mother anyone (especially when they were so close in age). She didn't have it in her.
But try and befriend her? She could do that. She could try, anyway. And that was why she was waiting in a small cafe for her, just so they could chat about things not related to the law, work, or the crazies she interacted with on a daily basis.
