Summary: Jake and Re-l go to investigate a crime scene. Someone discovers he has powers!

Two parents killed the night before and their their daughter fled the house soon after. The son was missing. The house had supposedly been ransacked some time during the murder and there was very little evidence to be found. Even the murder weapon itself was missing. The little girl wouldn't say anything and they had yet to find the son. Obviously, he was first priority. She could hear them calling in descriptions, passing around pictures of the boy to the NVs of the other officers, as she ducked under the yellow tape and stepped into the house.
The bodies had been moved but she had the folder in her hand with pictures and descriptions. Nothing else had been touched. The blood stains stood out first, the horrifying red against the white paint and wallpaper on the walls.
For a moment, she imagined herself back in Romdeau, investigating the murders in the outer districts from just over a year ago. Her year and a half anniversary was coming up. My, how time flies.
She glanced back at Jake as he wandered in, handing him one of the initial copies of the report itself. "We don't have much to go by for now...so we're just going to have to piece together what we can from what we have." She gave him a sympathetic look. "We might be here a while."
