[Raven is wandering around her second Thanksgiving party with her "I-don't-do-parties" face on, aimlessly poking at some food or drinking tea. It seems like she's ready to dodge out at any given moment, but she sticks around, since at least nothing obnoxious is going on.]

[Chuck all but bumps into her at some point after too many conversations with too many angels, which explains his distraction.]

Oh god, sorry!

-Raven, it's- ah, okay. [Relieved little chuckle. Being rude to strangers is so much more awkward than being rude to people you know.] Sorry about that.

[She looks mildly affronted for a moment, but his derpishness wins through and she just rolls her eyes in the end.]

It's okay.

This is a... different crowd than usual.

Ah, yeah, it is. [Looking around with a shrug.] Jubes put out an open invitation. I still can't believe- I mean, seriously, an angel and a demon showing up? What is that?

[She makes just a barely-noticeable wince at that.]

Lots of strange bedfellows. You could always make a counterpoint to them by bringing down that rocket wheelchair.

[He notices a something, but keeps the wondering to himself for the moment. If she doesn't feel like piping up about it, Chuck doesn't want to make her uncomfortable with whatever the issue is.]

I don't know, it's a little too... mad scientist, I guess? to do that when I don't even need it anymore.

At the very least, it would distract from all the Biblical tension around here.

Tension? [Laugh.] You think this is tension- oh, no, this is goddamn Kumbaya compared to normal.

[Flatly:]

Really.

Is this your usual crowd? What's normal, then?

Trust me, it didn't used to be.

[Thoughtfully. A little long-suffering.]

They just... fight. A lot.

...So how'd that change?

--And why, anyway?

...I came here, and had to be stuck on an island with them all.

[Ohhhhhhh jeez. Chuck looks a little deer-in-headlights for a moment before contemplatively downing the rest of his drink.]

That? Wow, that is a- really really long story. The Sparknotes version is something something the Apocalypse. Angels and demons, and more angels.

...Yeah, I was kind of afraid it would stretch back thousands of years.

[This is Chuck's cue to pour two more drinks. Just don't ask what's in them.]

You miiiight wanna add a few more zeros to that. [Offering one to her apologetically.]

[She'll take that drink, thanks.]
