Give the First Dance to Me [Closed]

Nov 16, 2011 23:10

Who: boundbytreason and goldilocked
When: November 6; mid-morning
Where: Outside of Funtom Toys & Sweets
Summary: Caster speaks with Jack to ask for his opinion on a certain matter.
Warnings: Will be updated when necessary! ♥

Normally, Caster wouldn’t afford the residents of the city a moment of her time, but she knew that words meant nothing without action. One couldn’t buy most people with such a cheap price because quality far outweighed quantity. If she truly wanted them eating out of her hand, then they first had to like the taste.

Gilbert Nightray was no exception, and in his time of need, she sought to make an impression, leading her back to the area outside of Funtom Toys & Sweets.

The sweet scent of baked treats clung to the air like the faint strain of music, fine and subtle. After all, every interaction was a performance in itself, and every dance needed the appropriate stage. Even now, as she drew the front of her silver-lined coat closer over her dark, silk dress, no one would be able to tell just how cruelly those delicate hands crushed her enemies like the blade of grass beneath her heels.

She stood in the spot where she last spoke with Ritsuka Aoyagi, recalling the bright flare of his temper and the twitch of his cat ears. He was one of Gilbert’s companions, but his strong reaction to her offer proved that she needed an alternative source. While she was confident in the choice of her gift, she still needed a second opinion over making the mistake of relying on arrogance.

Searching eyes grazed the premises as she waited for her partner to arrive.

She would wait for that invitation to her dance, but even if it never came, she saw nothing wrong in leading.
