Summary: Wolfwood's in a tiff. Maya's trying to be a good neighbor.

[for that reason, he didn't return to the orphanage. he was tempted to speak to St. Mathew, to cull up another mission or two or three, but he hesitated over that, too; his mind was in shambles and he knew it, had to accept it if he wanted to find a way to work around it. but right then, he saw no way to work around it; he saw the grim lines of the building, the struggle taking up his own feelings, wanted to go out and shoot something but most certainly couldn't, and in the end, he managed to only see the uneven sidewalks of the sector that weren't too horrible but weren't too pristine, either, and he was focused enough that, yeah, this might've been the second day of just stalking around, but he couldn't care.]
[the Darkness was the time to look forward to (and yet, what, it was three hours away?). gunshots were normal at night. here, though, the best he could do was move on and try not to think.]
