Who: Kida and Syrena.
When: Sometime before sirens.
Where: Syrena's secret waters--!
Summary: There's a mermaid in the port, and you thought Kida wouldn't meet her?
Warnings: A shameless flatterer and a half-naked mermaid.
It started with an honest want to see the sights. Near a month, now, and he still had issues with remembering half of the city. Ikebukuro was supposed to have been big-- big and loud and messy and confusing, and yet he'd never felt so lost as he was feeling in this Siren's Port. Could blame the powers, the aliens and all things related, but the biggest reaction he could manage at those was laughter. What wasn't there to laugh about, really?
A lot, in honesty, but never mind that.
Now, mysterious sounds like splashing were not always on the top priority list of things to check out for Kida. They just weren't. As such, after attempting to skip two rocks on the smooth water and subsequently just kicking the rest of the pebbles he happened upon, when there was the sound of shifting water just around a bend...
Well, he checked it out right away, curious face and all. But only because he thought there could be a native bird to be seen or something, honest-- when it turned out to definitely not be a bird (not a feather in sight, but something else), his curious expression morphed a tad into surprised confusion and -- for once, he didn't immediately run forward or shout or. Do much of anything, actually. He just sort of froze, eyebrows raised, and didn't think many thoughts beyond really? is this luck or doom?
