In either case, he wasn't homosexual- Jim could tell this in an instant. And perhaps it was bad to judge a man's sexuality based on his presentation, but the fact of the matter was that he could. Everything from the way he presented himself to the way he sat in his chair, to the way he sipped at his coffee was very indicative of the mannerisms of... well, one who wasn't of that inclination. Oblivious to Jason's more homicidal urges, he smiles politely and tilts his head. "What about you? Have you been here awhile?"

"Couple months." A shrug. "But it's not too different from home, so it's not really feeling like only a couple months."
Both are relative truths, as Gotham is a big city similar to the Port, complete with its own set of 'monsters' that had a tendency to come out at night.

He leans forward a little, interested. His body language was carefully positioned, showing his innocent attraction, as he rested his chin on his palm, watching Jason with a slight smile.
"That must have been dangerous for you."

"You get used to after a while, Jim." Shrugging, the smile widening into something more confident, definitely not indicative of how he feels right now. "What about you? Where do you hail from?"

Jim was aware of Jason's attempts at trying to lead him on- and what's more, he thought it was perhaps the funniest thing in the world, right then. It was obvious that he was making the younger man uncomfortable, and yet, he persisted. He must really want some sort of information- lovely. Jim was all too pleased to keep this charade going.

"Nothing medical, of course! I worked on their computers."
