Who: Emma Frost, Julian Keller, Kevin Ford When: Monday, 8/15 Where: The House of Awesome Summary: Julian and Kevin visit Emma Frost to talk about their powers and such. Warnings: Probably none
Emma's NV pinged, and she stood and walked to the door. She'd been on the periphery of major-league weirdness for most of her adult life, but Siren's Port was her first immersion in it, and meeting people who knew her but whom she didn't know was definitely a first. As a telepath, she was more accustomed to something approaching the reverse.
None of this showed on her face as she walked to the porch, closed the inner doors, and opened the unlocked outer doors herself. "Hello," she says, looking over the Kevin and Julian. "It's good to see you in person."
[OOC: she's not mindprobing, but she's definitely looking. I assume she'd see their psychic shields, and probably enough of the structure to recognize something of herself in the style. Depending on how good their shields are, I expect she'd see either only things they feel strongly about that they're accidentally projecting, or surface thoughts.]
Kevin was going to hold Julian to the dinner. Give him a night not to have to cook. He had his hands deep in his pockets, ready to talk to his mentor - the woman who'd saved his life, really. But she didn't know who they were.
He hated alternate dimensions. Really and truly hated them. Except, he liked a few of the people he'd met. Miss Snow, Miss Unohana, the Bishop. They were all good people. Back home, they weren't there.
"Evenin' Miz Frost. It's good t'see ya again." He could be very, very polite. Because that's the way he was.
ooc: Julian's shields are the ones you taught him how to make, Miss Frost :)ex_julianheAugust 16 2011, 01:40:27 UTC
Man, Kevin could be really polite sometimes. Much more so than Julian, who was trying to act like this wasn't weird and probably failing miserably. Honestly, she didn't look that much different from the last time he'd seen her, even though he knew she was probably quite a few years younger. Emma Frost had a knack for looking flawless. That had always been the case. He looked up, smiling a little.
"Hey Miss Frost. Good to see you too." He meant that, and the fact that he meant it bothered him. He shouldn't still care about her approval. He did care, anyway. "Is there somewhere private we can talk?"
She smiled. "Yes, there's a meeting room for just that sort of thing." A wry look. "Or you'd be welcome upstairs, but I think it would be rude to lock Jubilation out, given that it *is* her condo."
