[ As indicated, Ella had set up the kara-oke machine and was currently overseeing that portion of entertainment. Anyone who wanted to participate need only approach. Of course she also had a music system currently piping in music over the speakers for those who would rather dance. As for herself, she was seated by the entertainment system with her hands resting in her lap primly. ]
[ But looking stupid is half the fu- uh, I mean, Ella will encourage you! ]
You've never used it before? [ She eyes the machine. ] To be honest, I haven't either, but I think I know the gist of how it works. Why not give it a shot?

Heehee, thanks.
[Grabbing the clipboard from Ella, she took a couple of minutes to look over the list. Because she wasn't completely up to date with pop culture, she was unfamiliar with a lot of the songs, but there was one that caught her eye and god knows it was played enough times. The impression she got was that it was supposed to be some kind of joke or something, but she didn't get what was so funny about it. Oh well.]
Oh, I think I know this one!
[Pointing at the song with a gloved finger, the song of choice was "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley.]
[ There wasn't much humor in the joke if it was one - or at least Ella didn't get what the joke was either. At the pick, Ella leaned over to check the song title, and nodded. ]
I haven't heard that one. [ Or a lot of music actually. When she did listen to the radio is was to something classical or even folksey. ]
Here's your microphone. I'll cue the song up for you. [ She knew how to do that much, she mused as she handed the microphone to Sarina. ]
[After giving a quick glance over the microphone, she grasped it, before looking at the screen...even if she already had all of the words memorized. Seeing how she was a master of mimicking voices, it seemingly followed into karaoke as she gave a particularly accurate performance -- man voice and all.]
The party has been Rickrolled. :(blondandperfectAugust 16 2011, 00:16:35 UTC
[Hattie is at the food table.. Again. Eating another quail egg that seems normal enough. She heard the singing and turned aroun mid-chew, only to double over and nearly spit it out. Luckily she managed to keep her food in her mouth and forced a swallow.]
[ Ella was more than a little surprised by that. She'd been expecting ...well.. at the very least a female voice singing, not ... not that. Both hands clap over her mouth, not sure whether to start laughing or gasp in surprise - she doesn't interrupt the song in the least, though she'd be mildly weirded out that her thoughts echoed those of her stepsisters at that moment. Seriously Sarina, give a girl some warning next time. ]

I see, that was very.. Unique. I'd never heard anything quite like it.
[However she then looks a bit smug, hand raised to her lips.]
Well now that you've warmed up the stage, perhaps I should give it a try? -I- do a bit of singing myself, actually.
