Roxie was already having the time of her life. She'd never lived in the seventies, but she could tell it was her kind of time. The music was...different, but she'd been listening to some of it all week, and there was one band that had stuck out to her in particular.

Thus, when the time came for her to perform, Roxie got up onstage in a floaty white dress with sequins all over the damn place, and belted out ABBA's "Honey, Honey," a good fit for her high voice and cutesy stage manners. When she was done, she curtseyed and hopped off the stage, heading straight for the bar to have a gin and juice and catch her breath.

Everyone seemed to be behaving relatively well, which left Frau to just wander and enjoy himself. It still let him be a general presence about the place to put out the message that he could cause you trouble if you caused trouble though. What was the best way to enjoy himself? Watching all of the women of course.

He'd watched Roxie perform, rather impressed with what she had done. When she headed down to the bar, Frau slowly made his way over.

"Pretty impressive. You have a good voice."

Not to mention the looks and stage presence to go with it.

Roxie glanced up, a smile lighting her features at the compliment. She shrugged one shoulder, sipping her drink languidly, like she had all the time in world. Really, she might as well.

"Well, thank you," she returned. "I'd never heard of those ABBA guys before, but I really like their music. It's cute." She giggled.

Frau's smile only widened when he saw hers. She looked even better with a smile on her face. Then again, most women did. He hoped it would stay there. Frau rested on leg on the bottom rung of a stool and sat down on the edge of it.

"Never heard of them either, not that that surprises me."

Her mouth twisted wryly. "Well, they're about fifty years after my time, apparently. Not sure I like the sound of that."

She didn't want to think about what she'd look like in fifty years. Old. Wrinkles. No, she'd stay just like she was now, young and pretty, thank you very much. Roxie held out a hand.

"Roxie Hart. And who might you be?"

They didn't have that type of music where Frau was from. Stage performances were rare. At least rare where he was. But of course it was a church.

Frau took her hand happily and shook it, smile quirking up a bit on one side.

"Bishop Frau, though just Frau is fine."

"Bishop," she repeated, looking a little puzzled.

"So you're a holy man, huh?"

She had to say, she'd never met a bishop before. You met someone different every day in this city.

((Totally the wrong account and didn't even realize it.))

"I guess you could say that. I work for the church, but I'm hardly holy. Most of the others would probably die on the spot if they heard you say that."

He couldn't help grinning a bit at the image. There were very few in the church who actually liked him and believed he was fit for the job he held.

((HAHA I wondered about that!))

She took another sip of her gin sunrise. Her second of the evening, but who was counting?

"That's good," she remarked. "I've never been very holy myself. I hated convent school."

Frau couldn't help laughing lightly. He wasn't so sure that what he'd felt toward the education he had gotten fit with hate or not. It might be more suited to a stronger word paired with irritation.

"My teacher had to pin me to the wall a few times."

His smile flickered a tiny bit, but it was barely noticeable. What had happened with Bastien wasn't fresh, but it wasn't something he enjoyed thinking about.

Roxie cringed a little bit in a sympathetic manner, pulling a little face.

"I imagine that's a lot less fun when you're actually in trouble, huh?" She couldn't help it; she giggled at that. It was amazing how easy it was for her to loosen up-not that she was ever truly uptight.

He gave her a warm smile, glad to see that she was enjoying herself. He rather was too.

"Nah. More fun that way."

Frau had had a blast as a kid, but he'd been in trouble almost every second of every day. It was just part of his personality. If there was trouble to be caused, he would be there causing it. Who needed God or church or prayers? They didn't exist, so he could live without them.

At that response, Roxie's face split into a wide grin, with just a hint of mischief. Oh, she could play the innocent little girl all she wanted, but damn if she hadn't committed a murder and gotten away with it to boot. Whether she recognized it or not, she had a bit of a naughty streak.

"I like your style, sugar."

Frau saw that mischief hidden there and his own eyes glittered while one corner of his mouth quirked up in a bigger smile. It seemed like she knew what he was talking about.

"Trouble can always be more fun with two you know."

Roxie covered her mouth with her hand, barely stifling the laughter his words prompted. "Oh, don't I know it," she shot back, running her finger around the rim of her glass. Sadly, the resulting sound was lost among the din.

Raising her eyes to Frau's from beneath lowered lashes, she went on. "What's your poison, then, hmm?"

Oh, Frau had quite a few poisons. Some he enjoyed, some he didn't. Frau tipped his head toward her, the quirk of a smile still on his face. He was quite enjoying this.

"Depends what you're talking about. I have quite a few that I rather, ah... enjoy."
