Who:
bestinthefleet and
l2biotic.
When: may 25th, just before the sirens.
Where: the starter apartments, room 510.
Summary: the staff commander and the pilot exchange info. and try not to bitch each other out too much.
Warnings: probably a lot of .. strained, awkward conversation at first. nothing major. kaidan being kaidan, joker being joker. those are warnings enough in themselves.
It had been thought, been said, that Kaidan Alenko was quite possibly the last person he'd ever expected to see here. Granted, sure, what the hell, anything goes - but it had been so damn long since he'd been around the guy, even talked to him that it was .. well, he couldn't say unnerving, because that was just stupid. And it didn't fit. It just .. made him a little apprehensive. Yeah, that was a good word to put to that feeling. Apprehension.
He had no idea how this was going to go.
It had been decided somewhere along the line that they needed to talk. Kaidan didn't know the place, and sure, Joker was still new to it, but he figured he knew enough to give him about as much of a rundown as SERO had. Maybe a bit of personal insight to throw in the mix, like the fact that he was pretty sure Kaidan would want to know not to call him "Joker" over the open network. Just to make things less difficult.
He still didn't know what exactly that guy's problem was. But then again, as long as he stayed away from him, what the hell did it matter? It didn't. So .. there. Whatever.
It was with a sigh that he made his way to the floor beneath him, having found out once they'd switched to a private feed what floor he was on, what room number. He tried to make himself appear as outwardly calm as he thought he could manage, forcing his expression into one of indifference as he stopped just outside the staff commander's door and raised a hand to knock. Two sharp raps of his knuckles against worn wood, and he stood there with arms folded over his chest, waiting to be admitted.
Hopefully, this wasn't going to end up being his own personal version of Horizon.
