[His fingertips touch lightly where the chip is in his head -- scar already healing. He feels his shoulders drop. Most of his possessions have been returned to him. A blank stare around at what is supposedly his. His NV. The toys and basket that Sir Roman had gotten him. Can something be returned when he never possessed it in the first place?
But Urick is now upset with him. He is certain that they are. Now within the club, he can no longer feel his children or the connect that he had with his love. Tugging lightly at each finger, he shakes his head a few times. It is not right. This will breed hate for him from Urick. He went to sit in his little cell for his love, didn't he? Of course, he did.
The reasons are all slipping in and out of his head. Eventually, he looks up to find Shinji standing at his side. His smile is soft as he knows that it is not the man. Can see the reality fracturing to show the vision of his friend before him. He says what he always says that it would be best to be crazy than to live as he is living now. Better to kill what little sanity he has left so that he'll never know that Urick hates him so for slipping away.
Such a tempting thought. It really is a tempting thought. His hand reaches out to take Shinji's offered one. To slip away and live forever in a lost state -- he cannot see his friends now. Not so broken and beaten, even if the fractures are all on the inside. But they aren't really his friends, anyway. He cannot show himself to Urick as he is. He cannot. He'd rather sit within this room and wait for each buyer.
Ah, it is such a lovely little pathetic story that he tells himself. This sort of pathetic life will gain him affection from Urick. Urick will feel so sad for him, won't he? No, he hates him. Which one is it? His hand closes upon Shinji's hand as he decides that if he cannot stand to know the answer, he'd rather not know.
Insanity is always the best choice in these matter -- a relatively sane thought as he allows the reality and world to fade away.]
