Who:
makes_asteroids,
untamable-angel, and
gaveherwings at the end.
When: Just before evening Sirens on the 19th to an hour before morning Sirens on the 20th
Where: Mostly the Lighthouse. Medical drop off at Skye.
Summary: Magneto attempts to cheat the Core and go home. This is a good idea clearly.
Warnings: Look folks - Magneto's past isn't pretty. He's been suicidal roughly 50% of his time on panel. He's had a very BAD year, and has been sliding into a downward spiral for months. He's finally hit a point where he's content to die, if it means going home, even if the Core brings him back. PROBABLY triggering for some people, ok? So...please don't read if you think it might be.
Also, violence.
Erik was enjoying the calm. Instead of the doubt, the pressure, the worry, the stress, the pain, and lately the press of voices and pain from all over the island was blessed calm. And quiet. The quiet was due to the nulling bracelets on his wrists were the cause of the quiet. But the plan was the cause of the calm.
On the kitchen lay the guardianship papers for the children, addressed to Jubilee. As did a file with plans for the rest of the building, bank accounts, everything she would need. In his pocket a good supply of Dramamine. He'd rented a boat - it will return it's self to the dock if he gets too close to the Pull he's warned. Good. Then no one will be able to come after Jubilee for the cost. He steered for the lighthouse, stopping as often as needed to be sick over the side of the small motor boat.
Finally the shore of the lighthouse was in front of him. He managed, just barely, to get it to the dock and climb out. After aiming the steering to head for open water, he dropped a brick on the gas and let go. No way off the island now. No way out. Null bracelets would pretend the telepathy from calling for help. Darkness in a few minutes. He started climbing the stairs to the level ground, hearing a roar of something in the water. Whatever if was had almost sunk the boat several times. Bless Lee for teaching him to steer a boat. He was already sporting bruises, and probably some broken ribs. He wasn't sure. Right now, nothing hurt.
