Doumeki himself was feeling significantly better, other than the slight clouding of his senses from a lack of sleep - he'd only had a couple of hours between getting home from work and leaving to go with Watanuki on this mission. Still, it didn't bother him so much, and he was becoming more accustomed to this sort of thing now. Besides, he wasn't about to let Watanuki go alone into the slums, where the spirit activity was high enough that sometimes it seemed like Darkness during the day. Not without some form of protection, and he himself was the best form available.

Just as it had always been.

He gave an affirmative sound and a nod, following Watanuki up to the house they were checking into, standing just a few paces behind him, and waited. He was caught off-guard, much like Watanuki was, at the dark shape looming up to the side. His hand lifted, fingertips brushing over the bamboo of his bow, but it proved to just be an older man peering at them. Watanuki asked his question, and Doumeki stared at the man, brows slightly furrowed, eyes a bit narrowed.

There was something strange, but he couldn't put his finger on it. Probably some sort of side effect of this man working with the spirits so much.
