He had been running all day on spells, feeling like he had back on their journey, never stopping and supplementing rest with cure spells and his synergist abilities.
The others would catch up, he knew. For the moment, though, he would just... rest his legs. Just for a moment.
[ooc: He is weak right now, but he'll do his best to keep up the spells. Pretty useless in a Void, though, if there is going to be one here. But feel free to do just about anything?]

Hope? HOPE! Answer me, where are you?!
[Tifa's panicked, running around her apartment in a frenzy. She'd just got him back, he'd just come back from the dead and now this. He knew about Vanille, that much was obvious, but out on his own again...no. No she had to find him now.]
Tell me where you are! You're not the only one looking, link up with us!

Tifa?
[Give him a moment to fumble with the NV. Shaky, shaky... why was he so shaky? He was probably just going to sleep for a long while after this. After Vanille was safe again.]
I'm in Sector 6. There's... I know I'm close. It's got to be somewhere around here.

[Coat. Gloves, hat? Scarf? Dammit, can't find them, they'll have to stay. Tifa's down the stairs and bolting out the front door, hollering for a Taxi. She won't lose Hope OR Vanille. It's NOT going to happen.]

[It wasn't what he wanted to do-- he was going to keep searching. But at the same time, stopping for a little while felt like a good idea. His legs were hurting from all the running around, and he was just feeling a little woozy.]
...Okay. Just for-- a little while. I just have a bad feeling something's going to happen.

Just hold on for a little longer and I'll be right there.
[She's trying to be authoritative and not plead, but it's hard.]

Yeah, I remember. I'll wait.
[And thinking on it, it probably wasn't a good idea to rush in by himself. He just... really wanted to find Vanille.]
Thanks, Tifa.

"Hope?" She whispered fiercely, "Hope?!"

"Tifa?" He rounds the corner closer to her voice.

"...it's good to see you again." She whispered, letting him go and giving a teary smile. There would be more time after they rescued Vanille and the others. "Did you find anything?

He shook his head, though, making a note mentally to make it up to everyone somehow after this was all over. He wasn't sure how, but he would. He didn't like seeing people so worried like that, or sad. "Not yet. I know she has to be around here somewhere. I know it's Sector 6."

As he landed lightly, raising a finger to his mouth and then motioned quiet.
"Out looking for friends?" The words were more mouthed than spoken.

"Sector Six is good. I've seen some strange symbols on the drive here, so I'm betting if we check some of those out we'll find something." She beckoned him to follow, backtracking until she found one of the strange blue symbols that seemed to run in a line deeper into the sector.

He had been worried for her ever since Fang left, knowing that the girl was used to the presence of the Pulsian warrior, and that her leaving would be a strain on Vanille, even if it was emotionally.
"I've seen the symbols. There's more by the docks." He pointed toward the waterfront. "But... it's kind of random over there. All over the place."

Because of her fear of cultists, it was enough to trigger one of the conditions for her Octopus transformation. Although she saw the Beast as a nuisance before, one of the more convenient features of her suit was the ability to almost seamlessly blend in with her surroundings -- it made it rather easy to track the cultists down.
As she saw the boathouse, in the distance, she paused to observe the cultist she was following. Once the disappeared to the inside of the building, her Beast suit dissolved as her source of fear was currently taking a backseat to her excitementAfter leaving a quick phone message to Alex (the only person she could really trust in this ( ... )
