Everything seemed quiet and peaceful at first, even under the cover of Darkness. It didn't seem like the kind of spot where something would happen-- there were people about, after all, and it would take meticulous timing in order to be caught where nobody would be watching.
Unfortunately, the figure in the shadows was quite good at meticulous timing.
What finally breaks the illusion of peace is the inhumanly strong grip of a man's hand on your shoulder from behind, and the delicate point of a dagger touched against your back-- harmless... for now.
