Sherlock Holmes namiwasheretoo December 22 2010, 18:44:23 UTC
[Mr. Holmes, if he looked, would find a square box shaped gift. It was not wrapped but that was because the box was one of those Christmas style open top decretive boxes with a thick bow wrapped around and tied at the top. The bow was fake velvet and red, the box was green in color scheme.]

[“Detecting. Being smart. Reading.” Well… shouldn’t be too hard to fill, right?]

[When opened a dark green tissue paper was wrapped around the gift. A ‘detectives’ spy glass with a gold trim around the glass and a nicely carved dark wood handle. Hey, it said he liked detective things and was old, what better then a spy glass? Then again she used her spy glass often when drawing maps, so it seemed sensible to her. Under that were three books.]

[The first two were simple paper back novels. They were done by local male writer, older, who wrote intriguing mystery novels about an older woman and her grandson doing solving work. One of them was a few years old; the other was fresh within the past two months. The newest one seemed to be the writers take on the ‘Newcomer killers’ though it didn’t spell that out in so many words. Instead he took the concept and reworked it. Both books are placed in the Port of Siren City.]

[The third book was a simple used copy of ‘The History of Siren’s Port” and looked to be printed back in 1990, so it was a little out of date but… Nami had already finished reading that one. Hey, if a detecting, smart, reading sort of old guy liked info, what better place to get it then a book about the new hell hole you were stuck in, no?]

[These were left under the tree with the name “S. Holmes” on a white tag card.]
