Ivy herself was just about to take off from Nueva Los Noches, to travel to her secondary home in Sector Six. Although she was fairly certain that Akira and July were self-efficient enough on their own, she had to check in periodically to be sure that no one was starting any trouble. After everything she had gone through in Gotham, she knew she could never be too safe, even if she did prefer the vast amount of space allowed to her in the present location.
As she headed for the outskirts though, she paused at the sight of the lady - "arrancar", was it? She herself was fluent in Spanish, but the term still confounded her. To tear off - or possibly uproot? What did that even mean?
Regardless, she gave an intrigued tilt of head at the woman. She had seen quite a bit of Aizen's so-called "generals", but she was quite sure this was the first woman she had run into; Ivy already liked her better than the rest of the Espada. It also helped that the woman had a lovely verdant tint to her hair; it seemed that all of the tolerable Espada had

"Ah, this?" she asked, gesturing to the bag. "I have a job as a fashion model. Since they're tailoring everything to fit, I get to keep the things I model."
Given Nelliel's generous bustline, it probably wasn't necessary to explain why the garments had to be tailored. It also amounted to free advertising for her employer if she walked about in public wearing the clothing, considering that Nelliel was easily recognizable. With the amount of money she was paid for the work she did, she knew she probably should wear the clothes she was given more often. At least while out in public. Her arrancar mask already associated her with Aizen well enough.
Nelliel smiled politely. "Poison Ivy, I presume? My name is Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck."
Ahhh I'm so sorry this took so long!tokissityDecember 9 2010, 14:52:00 UTC
Even if Ivy was rather disconnected with popular culture, she had a vague understanding of how the fashion world went; if you had noticeable curves, you were probably considered 'plus-sized'. Not that it mattered to her; her own curves gained her more positive attention than anything. Regardless, she supposed that Neliel had enough of an exotic look that even the most traditional of designers would feel compelled to alter their designs in spite of her rather - unique proportions. Either way, Ivy supposed it was nice that she managed to find some kind of independence away from Aizen. She rather liked the man, but it certainly seemed that his subordinates were dependent on him. It was sad, really

"You're welcome to just call me Nelliel," she offered. "I prefer being called by my name than by my rank."
Poison Ivy was an interesting name in and of itself, but perhaps it was a normal name where Ivy had come from. There was no way of Nelliel knowing without Ivy volunteering that information, unless she spoke to others from Ivy's world.
"I am available to speak with you," she said. "And it would be nice to get to know someone Aizen-sama holds in high regard."
Truth be told, Aizen didn't seem to have much for the Espada to do here at all. It was a good thing that he allowed all of his arrancar - Espada and others - to do as they saw fit in their free time. All of them being required to stay in Nueva Las Noches to await his orders would probably have involved property destruction. It wasn't nearly the size of the original Las Noches. Nor, she suspected, was it anywhere as durable.
"Nelliel it is, then." Ivy remarked. "In turn, Ivy suits me just fine."
Even if long ago, at the very beginning of her life in crime, she would have slapped a person if they called her by just Ivy. It was safe to saw, however, that Ivy had calmed down considerably in the span of ten years. Even then, she tended to be slightly more lax around women anyway.
Ivy turned her eyes up, blinking once as she considered what to do. This certainly was no place to be having a nice little discussion, was it? She was a little cautious in who she allowed into her portion of the property, but it seemed to be the best option presented to her, within the entirety of Nueva Las Noches.
Content with the decision, she turned around toward her section, offering a smirk over her shoulder. "Care to take a stroll in my humble abode?"
Half an acre was very small, compared to the thirty block domain she once held in Gotham City. However, she was still rather satisfied with what she had, considering the limited amount of space in the city.
Nelliel was curious about Ivy's living area, for more than one reason. For one, Ivy shared territory with the Espada. That automatically made her Nelliel's business, even if they were instructed not to enter her portion of the territory without permission. The other source of her curiosity had nothing to do with duty and business, and much more a genuine curiosity about what was housed within Ivy's area. Hueco Mundo was nearly all desert, aside from the massive structure Las Noches. Even the previous few plants that did exist in Hueco Mundo weren't truly alive - not the way the plants in this world were.
"I would like that, thank you," said Nelliel with a nod. "I must admit that I am curious about all the plant life you have there. There wasn't much to speak of in Hueco Mundo."
"Is that so?" Ivy asked with a slight frown. What a depressing world to live in without green. Though she supposed that she once took a barren and desolate island and turned it into a tropical paradise before. Perhaps the old Hueco Mundo just needed someone like her to liven things up a little. Well, provided that there wasn't anyone seeking to destroy it. One had to take responsibility in what they created, after all. "Mm. I'm sure you'll be quite fascinated with what you'll see within my domain, then."
With a subtle wave of her head, she directed Nelliel to follow her as she walked toward her domain. Reaching the border, her lips quirked up as she silently commanded the barrier of poison oak to recede. Though Ivy herself would have no problem getting through it, due to her immunity to any poison, bacteria, or disease, she had a visitor. She certainly wouldn't allow any harm to be brought to an unassuming female.
Walking through the cleared back, she turned around. "If you don't mind me asking, Nelliel, what is your rank?"
"Hueco Mundo was almost all desert," explained Nelliel. "It was always night. The only place we had daylight was within Las Noches, where it had been artificially created."
She didn't worry about disclosing information like that. It wasn't especially useful, even if one could get there in the first place and survive their time in the land of hollows.
Nelliel watched the plant gave way for Ivy with some interest. It was a fascinating ability, and she had to wonder at the scope of her talents. Still, too many questions on a first meeting was rude. She was certain she could learn more in time, when Ivy felt more comfortable with her.
"I'm the Tercera Espada," she said, wondering if Ivy had seen the Espada's tattoos or if she'd just been told about the ranking system.
nvm. I fail at coding forever. >.>tokissityDecember 12 2010, 07:36:32 UTC
No natural light? Well, that certainly would be no place for Ivy to dwell. She needed the sun to be truly powerful. There was no way that she was going to admit any such weaknesses to anyone, however.
"To live in a world without sun must have been a sad one indeed." she commented, walking further into her greenhouse.
Though Aizen had given her a very general explanation of what the Espada were to him, all she really knew was that the members within the faction often referred to themselves by numbers. Though she wasn't overly fond of unique names, as she had been known to name her animal-plant hybrids after plant names, no one should have to respond to a number. Regardless, it was an intriguing subject.
"'Tercera'" Ivy repeated thoughtfully, before breaking back into the slightest of smiles again. "The third...number three, then."
Well, well. Perhaps that's why her favorite little soldier boy was number four. A woman always got the job done better than any man ever could. She wondered if the other two higher ranked Espada were also

"Sad? I suppose so...but it's hard to miss something one never had," said Nelliel. The lack of sunlight wasn't what Nelliel considered truly sad about Hueco Mundo. The sad thing was the general order of things - kill or be killed. She didn't enjoy fighting, but had become proficient at it out of necessity.
"That's right," she said to Ivy's comment about Nelliel's rank. Contrary to Ivy's opinions of numbers, it didn't bother her much. They were ranks, and Aizen called them all by name anyhow. Not only the Espada, but also the Numeros. "Espada are ranked from 1-10. The other arrancar here are fraccion - subordinates to specific Espada. Tesla is Nnoitra's subordinate, and Pesche is mine."
She considered Ivy's next question as they walked. Truthfully, she had very little experience with plants. She did know that tea came from plants, though.
"I admire the resilience of cacti and I like the taste of peaches and peach tea," she said with a smile. "I haven't had enough experience with them to be able to say much more than
"Ah, so you have your own little soldier boys and girls of your own." she said in an amused tone. "From the sounds of it, you all have quite the military-like system in your original world."
Funny, they certainly didn't seem like the type, from her first impressions. It was a good thing that she attached herself to Aizen rather quickly, as it would be a nuisance to deal with an entire army, if she should anger him.
"Cacti are a plant I can respect as well-- beautiful to look at, but dangerous to the touch." Ivy was rather transparent; her favorite plants were the ones she could relate to. "Any favorite colors, then?"
"It was created by Aizen-sama," explained Nelliel. She couldn't explain anything that had the potential to negatively impact Aizen, but she didn't think it would hurt to clarify one of the several reasons that the arrancar followed Aizen. "He brought order and civilization to a place of chaos."
He was also fearless and astoundingly powerful, but those weren't things she needed to discuss. It was Aizen's logic and civility that inspired Nelliel to follow him.
"Green," she admitted. "Purple and pink as well, but green is my favourite of the three. And white, but that's more what I'm used to than a preference."
"You all must be grateful," Ivy said, as she walked over to a table to pick up a spray bottle. "it must have been hard for you all to live in a place without order."
Actually, Ivy herself was more than used to chaos. Even in the calm serenity of the rainforests of South America, she would yearn for the thrill of Gotham City. However, she was rather good at feeding into people's good sides.
"Mm. Green should be everyone's favorite color," she paused, smirking. "Whether it's for the plants or the money."
Turning around to mist a small, leafy plant behind her, she continued.
"The other two are good colors as well. There's plenty of delightful flowers in the colors, such as pansies, lilies, anemones, wisterias, lilacs..." she let herself trail off for a bit, before turning back around. "But you've never heard of any of these?"
"It wasn't so much the lack of order that made it an unpleasant place," said Nelliel. "Hueco Mundo was very much a kill or be killed sort of place. That didn't completely change with Aizen-sama's arrival but the military structure he introduced was perfect for people with strong fighting instincts. There was less pointless fighting, and more leisure time for those who wanted it."
Nelliel shook her head at the question. No, she had never heard of any of those before. Even grass was new to her, though she was used to it now. Now it was snow that surprised her. Even though the cold didn't harm her, she was glad that she had proper clothing now. Snow was still cold.
"Never," she admitted. "But I would like to see them if you have any here."
"I suppose in a place like that, there was nobody to protect those who couldn't protect themselves." Ivy mused. "In which case, it might be better that the plants were sparse there, if they would only be trampled on, within the destruction."
Even if it was no world that Ivy herself would want to live in.
Upon Nelliel's head shake, she had to raise a brow. She truly hadn't heard of any of those species? My, my. She'd have to remedy that.
"I don't have them off-hand, but..."
Squatting down, Ivy arched a hand to summon each of the species almost instantaneously.
"I've always had a bit of a - green thumb, you could say."
"Some would band together and enjoy a sense of cameraderie together," said Nelliel. "But that's not the case for the majority."
The expression 'green thumb' was an odd one, and wasn't one that was used where Nelliel had lived. Poison Ivy had a green thumb? It seemed like everything about her was green except her hair. Any comments or questions she had about the odd turn of phrase were banished in favour of looking at the plants with a slight expression of wonder. Now that was an interesting ability.
"You can make them grow just like that?" she asked. "It must be useful if there's any sort of fruit or vegetable you really want to eat."
