No natural light? Well, that certainly would be no place for Ivy to dwell. She needed the sun to be truly powerful. There was no way that she was going to admit any such weaknesses to anyone, however.

"To live in a world without sun must have been a sad one indeed." she commented, walking further into her greenhouse.

Though Aizen had given her a very general explanation of what the Espada were to him, all she really knew was that the members within the faction often referred to themselves by numbers. Though she wasn't overly fond of unique names, as she had been known to name her animal-plant hybrids after plant names, no one should have to respond to a number. Regardless, it was an intriguing subject.

"'Tercera'" Ivy repeated thoughtfully, before breaking back into the slightest of smiles again. "The third...number three, then."

Well, well. Perhaps that's why her favorite little soldier boy was number four. A woman always got the job done better than any man ever could. She wondered if the other two higher ranked Espada were also female?

"Not bad at all." Though if it were her, she wouldn't be satisfied with anything but number one.

"Have you any favorite plants?"

"Sad? I suppose so...but it's hard to miss something one never had," said Nelliel. The lack of sunlight wasn't what Nelliel considered truly sad about Hueco Mundo. The sad thing was the general order of things - kill or be killed. She didn't enjoy fighting, but had become proficient at it out of necessity.

"That's right," she said to Ivy's comment about Nelliel's rank. Contrary to Ivy's opinions of numbers, it didn't bother her much. They were ranks, and Aizen called them all by name anyhow. Not only the Espada, but also the Numeros. "Espada are ranked from 1-10. The other arrancar here are fraccion - subordinates to specific Espada. Tesla is Nnoitra's subordinate, and Pesche is mine."

She considered Ivy's next question as they walked. Truthfully, she had very little experience with plants. She did know that tea came from plants, though.

"I admire the resilience of cacti and I like the taste of peaches and peach tea," she said with a smile. "I haven't had enough experience with them to be able to say much more than that."

"Ah, so you have your own little soldier boys and girls of your own." she said in an amused tone. "From the sounds of it, you all have quite the military-like system in your original world."

Funny, they certainly didn't seem like the type, from her first impressions. It was a good thing that she attached herself to Aizen rather quickly, as it would be a nuisance to deal with an entire army, if she should anger him.

"Cacti are a plant I can respect as well-- beautiful to look at, but dangerous to the touch." Ivy was rather transparent; her favorite plants were the ones she could relate to. "Any favorite colors, then?"

"It was created by Aizen-sama," explained Nelliel. She couldn't explain anything that had the potential to negatively impact Aizen, but she didn't think it would hurt to clarify one of the several reasons that the arrancar followed Aizen. "He brought order and civilization to a place of chaos."

He was also fearless and astoundingly powerful, but those weren't things she needed to discuss. It was Aizen's logic and civility that inspired Nelliel to follow him.

"Green," she admitted. "Purple and pink as well, but green is my favourite of the three. And white, but that's more what I'm used to than a preference."

"You all must be grateful," Ivy said, as she walked over to a table to pick up a spray bottle. "it must have been hard for you all to live in a place without order."

Actually, Ivy herself was more than used to chaos. Even in the calm serenity of the rainforests of South America, she would yearn for the thrill of Gotham City. However, she was rather good at feeding into people's good sides.

"Mm. Green should be everyone's favorite color," she paused, smirking. "Whether it's for the plants or the money."

Turning around to mist a small, leafy plant behind her, she continued.

"The other two are good colors as well. There's plenty of delightful flowers in the colors, such as pansies, lilies, anemones, wisterias, lilacs..." she let herself trail off for a bit, before turning back around. "But you've never heard of any of these?"

"It wasn't so much the lack of order that made it an unpleasant place," said Nelliel. "Hueco Mundo was very much a kill or be killed sort of place. That didn't completely change with Aizen-sama's arrival but the military structure he introduced was perfect for people with strong fighting instincts. There was less pointless fighting, and more leisure time for those who wanted it."

Nelliel shook her head at the question. No, she had never heard of any of those before. Even grass was new to her, though she was used to it now. Now it was snow that surprised her. Even though the cold didn't harm her, she was glad that she had proper clothing now. Snow was still cold.

"Never," she admitted. "But I would like to see them if you have any here."

"I suppose in a place like that, there was nobody to protect those who couldn't protect themselves." Ivy mused. "In which case, it might be better that the plants were sparse there, if they would only be trampled on, within the destruction."

Even if it was no world that Ivy herself would want to live in.

Upon Nelliel's head shake, she had to raise a brow. She truly hadn't heard of any of those species? My, my. She'd have to remedy that.

"I don't have them off-hand, but..."

Squatting down, Ivy arched a hand to summon each of the species almost instantaneously.

"I've always had a bit of a - green thumb, you could say."

"Some would band together and enjoy a sense of cameraderie together," said Nelliel. "But that's not the case for the majority."

The expression 'green thumb' was an odd one, and wasn't one that was used where Nelliel had lived. Poison Ivy had a green thumb? It seemed like everything about her was green except her hair. Any comments or questions she had about the odd turn of phrase were banished in favour of looking at the plants with a slight expression of wonder. Now that was an interesting ability.

"You can make them grow just like that?" she asked. "It must be useful if there's any sort of fruit or vegetable you really want to eat."

"Well, judged on the rather uncouth behavior from some in your ranks, I would hope you would feel the need to diassociate yourself from a few of your arrancar kin." Ivy said with a scoff. "Your so-called father ought to keep a tighter leash on some of you."

Tilting her head, she continued with a sweeter tone in her voice. "Not you, of course. You seem lovely so far."

Stretching a hand out, she gently pushed a flower to her nose to take in the fragrant aroma. She then chuckled as she turned back to Nelliel. The truth was that she was so much more
deadly than what she semed. It suited her fine though -- she liked it that way.

"It is rather nice -- and in addition I never get lonely." She shrugged a shoulder leisurely. "Have any amazing abilities of your own?"

"Was anyone rude to you, or is this just behaviour in general?" she asked. Nelliel's tone was light, but the question was a pointed one. Aizen-sama would not like it if the others were rude to Poison Ivy, given their shared territory. Depending on who it was, Nelliel might give the individual a chance to apologize and resolve things before the matter got reported to their leader.

Nelliel would not have been surrpised to discover that Poison Ivy was more dangerous than she seemed. After all, if Aizen had a certain degree of respect for her that he expected from the Espada as well, there was a reason for it that went beyond her ability to grow plants. No matter how much the man liked his tea.

"The same sort of abilities as the other arrancar," she said, unsure of what Ivy knew and didn't know about them.

"Oh no. I can deal with rude behavior on my own. I'm a big girl, you know." she gives a teasing smile, before continuing. "No, I'm more concerned over the more hot-headed members of your bunch."

Ivy was rather good at minding her own business, so she really didn't know much about the abilities of the arrancar at all. She, of course, knew that none of them were pushovers, and she most certainly knew they could handle their own, but she knew nothing beyond that.

"Mm, I won't pry if it's top-secret." Ivy remarked. "I, of all people, know that a girl's got to keep her secrets."

"Grimmjow, then," she said. "Nnoitra has vanished, but he would count as hot headed."

In the past, Nelliel had managed to anger Nnoitra by nothing more than existing, having a higher rank in the Espada than him, and refusing to kill him after any of their many duels. She still considered him to be more beast-like than rational in terms of motivation. In spite of that, she couldn't help but wonder about his fate.

"It's not top-secret," she said after a moment. "Arrancar have gotten into fights here before."

In which case, she could share some of the things that would be immediately apparent to an observer.

"Arrancar are faster and physically stronger than humans, and more durable as well."
