Rain is much more tolerable when you're intangible [open]

Feb 18, 2010 09:36

Who: Zelda (eeeek_a_rat), OPEN
When: February 17th, mid-morning
Where: The Underground Mall
Summary: Off searching for a job, Zelda gets caught in the rain and discovers a new part of the city.
Warnings: None so far

Zelda, so far, had been lucky.

The weather had held off when she had left the starter apartments in her borrowed jacket for the third day in a row, an uneasy pause in the rain as she had made her way to the subway. The few dollars she had managed to scrape together was enough to send her downtown - barely a few minutes after she had stepped out somewhere around sector three, the rains had started bucketing down again.

Prompting Zelda, naturally, to squeal louder than was technically necessary and run at full speed to the nearest shelter - the district three entrance to the Underground Mall, as it was.

Soaking wet, she had made her way down to the mall itself, her eyes widening in surprise at the sheer vastness and variety of the place. She could definitely (hopefully?) find a job here!

...But first, she was going to plunk herself down in front of the convention center and wait until she dried off a bit.
