Ain't No Rest for the Wicked

Who: Nick, Rochelle; closed
When: Night, a few days after this thread.
Where: Rochelle's apartment.
Summary: Rochelle finds out what's been happening with her locks.
Warnings: Probably some language and mild(?) violence?

Nick wasn't an honest man by default. He was a crook and a conman and probably a whole list full of other bad adjectives. He also didn't have a legit job, living off what he conned off anyone he could around him, and business wasn't real good here in this city as it was back home, not yet anyway. He was working his way up all over again.

He wasn't much of a home owner type anyway. He was, however, a little bit drunk after hanging out with a few guys he'd conned out of some money, a little bit buzzed and wanting more--and the alcohol in his system told him he ought to pay Ro a little visit while she was asleep.

Nick was also a guy who liked thrills, which was maybe the reason behind him attempting to sneak into Rochelle's apartment again, at this hour. Maybe there wasn't a very good reason behind it at all.

He just felt like it and he was cocky enough to think that if he'd gotten away with it this much, he would continue to do so.

But that could be worried about later. He crept in softly to the apartment after working the lock open again (It was getting to be second nature. God help him if Ro changed the locks on him), being as careful as he could to not run into anything.

Wasn't it just unfortunate enough that he stepped on a part of the floor that creaked and the cabinet in the kitchen made a noise as it opened and it was really hard to sort through glass bottles without making some sort of noise. He winced internally, hoping Rochelle would sleep through it.
