[even with all that's going on - school, his work, commissions, and his strategic chess game against Aizen - the Quincy still makes an effort to go out to train and patrol during the Darkness]
[such is his goal tonight as he god-steps through SERO territory, on the lookout for anyone in trouble (or anything particularly challenging to test his skills against). So far it's been quiet. The thought crosses his mind to turn back and head home, opt for sleep over a fruitless effort]
[but it's as he's pausing atop the low balcony of a business, considering this, that he senses the strange reiatsu. It stands out among a dozen or so more, and while he's not within distance to spot the group Uryuu can hear the steady rumbling of a parked truck, someone shouting orders]
