Darwin's Back in Action
Local Darkness aficionado Darwin Watts was seen out among the darkness during the Supermoon last night. Sector 4's Independent News Station was able to catch his for a brief but exclusive interview.
When questioned about his thoughts on the behavior of the creatures he simply stated: "The creatures, or souls, that are trapped within the night time hours are, I like to believe, summoned, no wait- called to by the dark. I'm not really sure if it is the moon that effects them itself or the night alone.
Clearly when the eclipse happened they were much more aggressive and dangerous. Tonight they seem almost docile, not feeding off of each other or attacking the world around it. Buildings are still tarnished, streets are still cracked and the world continues to melt away into a rusty, dirty mess, but the creatures of the night are quelled. It's curious. I'm not sure what to make of it, other then to assume the moon has some form of control over the creatures."
While talking to the local mystery researcher we followed along, watching as he attempted to interact with some of the monsters, taking pictures, drawing sketches and making notes in a log book. He was able to get in among the darkness with little aggression, though he still stood away from larger crowds of mutation. When bothered from their moon gazing they became angry, attacked until the threat was gone and returned to their previous state.
Although some have speculated that he had retired from his work, Darwin confirmed that he returned to exploring the night several months ago, after a "long overdue rest." He confirmed that he is fully back in the business of creature research, but always looking for new insights and anecdotes from others who dare to go out after siren.
His outdated Darkness Guide will be getting an update very soon, making it his 4th published edition of the popular document, available free for public access by NetVice feed. He also announced his intentions to author a Children's Book: Things That Go Bump In The Night. The interviewer couldn't quite tell if he was kidding. He reminds everyone that ”There is always something stronger then you in the dark. Be careful.”
Missing Persons Report
District Prosecutor Godot was last seen leaving the government offices on Friday evening around 6 PM, but according to the police report has not been seen nor heard from since. Acquaintances first noticed the prosecutor's suspicious disappearance on Saturday evening and a police report was quickly filed. It is unknown whether the prosecutor met with foul play or was merely a victim of the Darkness.
Prosecutor Godot was recently at the bench for the widely-publicized trial of Newcomer murder suspect Tom Hanniger. Though the prosecutor lost the case, speculation has arisen that his disappearance may be related to the trial, a disgruntled victim or fanatic believing that Hanniger received the wrong sentence.
Anyone with information on the prosecutor's whereabouts is asked to call the police department. Prosecutor Godot is around six feet tall with white hair, and wears a visual apparatus on his face.
