Newcomer Sabotage At SERO Laboratories
A break-in occurred at one of SERO's genetic testing laboratories last night after siren. The man worked alone and is not thought to be affiliated with any known terrorist organization, although investigations are continuing to confirm this break-in holds no connection to the explosions two weeks ago.
Several important documents and files had been destroyed, the contents of which were labeled as highly confidential by a SERO representative. He evaded capture, but was severely injured in the process of security's effort in containing him. His body had been found in a back alley and has been identified as Robert Cross, 38, a former patient of SERO. A motive has not been formulated at this time.
Other Notes
- Shutterbugged Film and Camera Shop in the Underground Mall is debuting a new night vision digital camera, and sponsoring a photo competition to capture the "Most Extreme Vision of Darkness." $2000 store credit to Grand Prize winner, submissions due March 25th.
['Submissions' can be left in the news notification box, either a description or an artwork of the photo- or both, along with a brief paragraph describing the experience behind the creation of this photograph (or better yet, a log link!) A winner will be selected!]
- The Department of Transportation has announced plans for the installation of several more rent-by-hour
Cubby Motels to open up at the Port's high-traffic rail stations. The initial trial-run of these cubicles, intended to provide safe and affordable emergency shelter for commuters stuck out late after siren, has been reported as a great success. Although some have merely become overnight havens for the homeless and destitute, steady revenue has enabled regular subway maintenance and turnstile repairs, despite city budget cuts tightening the belt on public services. Among those highlighted as well-kept and a pleasant stay is
The Wayside Inn at Browning Stop, managed by a newcomer known simply as Rin.
